TATTOO TRADING CARD BOOKLET
ARTIST BOOK
This artist book reframes tattoos as collectible artifacts, treating the body as a living archive. The project uses a custom trading-card system to document tattoos as they accumulate over time.
The book is divided into four categories, each representing a different tattoo style and distinguished through color groups. Each category features four tattoo artists, with individual trading cards designed to be carried by the artists themselves. The cards feature the artist's name, Instagram handle, location, and studio location. After receiving a tattoo, clients are given a blank card to record details such as the design, date, location, and its place within their personal tattoo history.
Collected in a trading-card binder, made with fabric and sewing techniques reflecting the raw nature of tattoos, the book functions as both a personal record and a shared object—allowing viewers to discover artists, track tattoo narratives, and find inspiration through lived experiences.
